Introduction

 

Welcome to Expanse Detailing! By booking a service with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms outline our policies, customer responsibilities, and limitations of liability.

 

Services Provided

 

  • Expanse Detailing offers package-based mobile car detailing services in Toronto, Ontario. Our services include interior and exterior cleaning only. Additional services outside of our standard packages are not provided.

  • We primarily operate in Etobicoke. Any service requested outside of Etobicoke will be subject to a "Travel Fee", which will be calculated based on the average cost of gas and kilometers traveled.

 

Booking and Payment

  • All bookings must be scheduled in advance through our website, phone, or social media.

  • Customers must check a checkbox to confirm their agreement to these terms and conditions before completing the booking process.

  • Payment is due at the time of your service.

  • Refusal or failure to pay for your service invalidates our service guarantee, and any redo services or discounts are at the sole discretion of Expanse Detailing.

  • We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Surcharges will apply for excessive garbage, pet hair, or other debris not disclosed during the initial walk-around inspection with the customer (check our Hair and Garbage removal section below).

  • No refunds will be provided.

 

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.

  • Clients can cancel their own bookings online up to 24 hours before the start time.

  • Clients can reschedule their own bookings online up to 24 hours before the start time.

  • The earliest clients can book is 2 weeks before the start time.

  • The latest clients can book is 24 hours before the start time.

  • There is a maximum waitlist capacity of 3 people.

  • Waitlist spots will be held for 1 hour before being offered to the next person in line.

  • The maximum number of participants allowed per booking is 1.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather conditions, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Failure to be present at the time and location of the ordered service will result in a loss of service and payment to Expanse Detailing based on our "Travel Fee".

 

Customer Responsibilities

  • The customer must provide access to the vehicle and a safe workspace (e.g., driveway, parking lot).

  • Personal belongings should be removed from the vehicle before service. We are not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.

  • Expanse Detailing will be using the customer's water source and electricity with their consent. We are not responsible for any issues arising from their use.

  • Customers assume all risk for services performed on vehicles, booking with us agrees with our Terms and Conditions. Expanse Detailing is not responsible for any damage.

Pre-Existing Vehicle Conditions

  • Before starting, we will inspect the vehicle for pre-existing scratches, dents, or damages and document them with photos. This will be part of our walk-around inspection (which will be logged) with the customer.

  • Expanse Detailing is not responsible for any pre-existing damage or defects in the vehicle.

  • We will use appropriate cleaning products, but we are not liable for any unforeseen reactions with aftermarket modifications, coatings, or surfaces.

 

Service Limitations

 

  • Steam cleaning and extractor shampooing are for seats and carpets only. We do not clean vehicle roofs, headliners, or other surfaces with these methods.

  • We do not offer paint correction, ceramic coating, or any mechanical repairs.

  • Detailing times are an estimate only. Each vehicle is different and may require more or less time to complete the detailing service.

  • We cannot guarantee specific service times. While we make every effort to adhere to the scheduled arrival window, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. These delays do not void our cancellation policy.

  • Expanse Detailing uses liquid-based cleaning products to ensure a thorough cleaning process. While we take every precaution to prevent damage, we are not responsible for any unexpected reactions with anything related to the vehicle. We are not responsible for any damage.

Hair and Garbage Removal

  • We offer hair and garbage removal services as part of our detailing process. However, due to the nature of certain vehicles and levels of contamination, complete removal is not always guaranteed. Some vehicles with excessive dirt, debris, or pet hair may require additional time and effort, and in extreme cases, full removal may not be possible. We strive to achieve the best possible results but cannot guarantee the elimination of all hair and debris.

Interior Vacuum Policy

  • As part of our basic package, we offer a light interior vacuum. This means we will vacuum visible surfaces but will not go under mats or into hidden areas. Our vacuuming service is intended to remove noticeable debris, but we do not guarantee the removal of every grain of debris.

 

Liability and Disclaimer

 

  • Our team will take every precaution to ensure quality service, but Expanse Detailing is not liable for any damage that may occur during the service.

  • We are not responsible for damages caused by improper maintenance before or after our services.

  • Customers assume all risk for services performed on vehicles with fragile or deteriorating surfaces.

  • Expanse Detailing will not accept any liability for any loss or damage to personal property, including the vehicle being serviced, any belongings inside the vehicle, or the location where the service is performed.

  • Expanse Detailing limits its liability to the total dollar amount of each job.

 

Satisfaction Guarantee

 

  • If you are not satisfied with the service, please notify us within 24 hours, and we will assess the issue and may offer a touch-up or re-service at our discretion.

 

Weather Policy

 

  • If extreme weather conditions (heavy rain, snow, extreme cold) prevent us from performing services, we will notify you to reschedule at no extra charge.

 

Privacy Policy

 

  • We respect your privacy. Any personal information collected (e.g., name, phone number, vehicle details) is used solely for booking, communication and database purposes. We do not sell or share your information.

 

Providing Feedback and Photos

 

  • We ask for your feedback. Please send us an email at expansedetailing@gmail.com and let us know if there are ANY concerns – good or bad.

  • We also reserve the right, at the discretion of Expanse Detailing, to use pictures of your vehicle for marketing purposes and to publish them on our website (expansedetailing.com) or any of our social media platforms.

  • Your personal information will not be shown in the photos.

 

Right to Refuse Service

 

  • Expanse Detailing reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

  • Expanse Detailing reserves the right to refuse or deny customer demands above and beyond the booked detailing.

  • Expanse Detailing will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse towards any of its staff under any circumstances and will take the relevant actions should any such behaviors be encountered.

 

Communications

 

  • Expanse Detailing will send you email and SMS text messages to confirm your service request, and possibly conduct a customer satisfaction survey after the job is completed.

  • When your service request is received, your name, phone number, service address, vehicle model and information from the walkaround inspection will be saved to our customer database.

  • Expanse Detailing may call you directly regarding your scheduled service or conduct a customer satisfaction survey. In the event of a canceled request, we may call you to inquire about your reasons for canceling.

  • All inbound and outbound customer service calls may be recorded for quality assurances.

 

Changes to Terms

 

  • Expanse Detailing reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
